Job Description

**Job Title:** Early Years Lead Practitioner

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years Lead Practitioner to join our team at Inspired Education Group. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of early education for our children and delivering high educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and ensure that it is delivered to a high standard.
  • Lead a team of early years practitioners and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting the needs of our children.
  • Work closely with the Head and parents to develop positive and effective relationships and ensure that our children receive a high-quality education.
  • Plan and deliver a balance of continuous provision and adult-led experiences that meet the needs of our children.
  • Monitor systems of assessment, recording, and reporting on the progress of our children's development and learning.
  • Ensure that all practitioners understand the principles and content of the EYFS and know how to put them into practice.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the welfare and safety of our children.
  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other family members to share information about our children's well-being, development, and learning.
  • Collaborate with specialist agencies and professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of our children.
  • Take responsibility for staff professional development and provide mentoring support to ensure that our practitioners are equipped to deliver high-quality education.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant early years qualification, such as EYTS or a graduate early years degree.
  • Have extensive experience of working with young children, particularly 2-5-year-olds.
  • Have experience of leading teams in delivering high-quality early education.
  • Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, and relevant current legislation.
  • Have good observational skills and the ability to support staff in knowing when and how best to intervene to support children's learning, development, and interactions.
  • Have good ICT skills and the ability to use effective e-monitoring systems.
