Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

NHS Scotland fosters an inclusive work environment, promoting equality and diversity among its workforce. The organization welcomes applications from diverse backgrounds.

This role provides daily administrative support to the Endocrine & Diabetic Specialist Nursing team. Key responsibilities include managing appointments, updating patient information, responding to inquiries, coordinating nurses' diaries and appointments, drafting meeting minutes, addressing queries from patients and staff, covering unit reception as needed, and supporting the DSN telephone helpline.

No direct line management authority is associated with this position; however, you will provide assistance to colleagues within the department when required.

The NHS Scotland has introduced a reduced working week of 37 hours for full-time employees. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. As a result, this job description reflects the new working hours. Nevertheless, some service areas may not be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately, and you might be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, during which time you would be compensated until the service you're working in adjusts its rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.

We are committed to supporting candidates with disabilities, long-term conditions, or neurodivergent traits by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policies and practices.
