This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to provide administrative support to the Endocrine & Diabetic Specialist Nursing team. Key responsibilities include managing appointments, updating patient information, responding to inquiries, coordinating nurses' diaries and appointments, drafting meeting minutes, addressing queries from patients and staff, covering unit reception as needed, and supporting the DSN telephone helpline.
No direct line management authority is associated with this position; however, you will provide assistance to colleagues within the department when required.
We have introduced a reduced working week of 37 hours for full-time employees, which will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. Some service areas may not be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately, and you might be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, during which time you would be compensated until the service you're working in adjusts its rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
