Epidemiology Programme Coordinator

The UK Health Security Agency is seeking a highly skilled Epidemiology Programme Coordinator to join our team in London. As a Field Epidemiology Training Programme Fellow, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and well-being of our citizens through innovative approaches to health security.
This role is a 2-year full-time postgraduate training programme designed to equip medical, scientific, veterinary, or nursing staff with advanced epidemiology skills. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the protection of public health.
The salary for this role is £43,923 - £63,152 per annum, pro rata. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, generous annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
Job DescriptionCoordinate and implement epidemiology projects to identify trends and patterns in infectious disease outbreaks
Analyze data and develop effective interventions to prevent and control infectious diseases
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to share knowledge and best practices
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
RequirementsMaster's degree or PhD in a scientific discipline with a significant health, public health, epidemiology, or data analysis component
Demonstrable experience in Public Health, Infectious diseases, Clinical microbiology, or epidemiology for at least 18 months by the application deadline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to undertake analysis of health datasets
Demonstrate a keen interest in applied epidemiology
