As the Head of Student Engagement and Success at University College Birmingham, you will play a key role in strengthening our approach to supporting students. You will work closely with the directorate's senior management team to build excellent relationships across the institution and with external partners and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of developing and implementing student coaching within a relevant educational setting. They will also possess an excellent understanding of the barriers to engagement and how these can be overcome.

About the Role:

  • Lead and further develop the Student Engagement and Success team
  • Support students to overcome non-academic challenges through institution-wide events, 1:1 support, and mentoring
  • Use excellent leadership, management, and innovation skills to ensure that all students at risk of disengagement are supported and have equal opportunity to succeed
