Sous Chef Opportunity at beBee Professionals

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Redditch, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans and food preparation strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Implement and maintain kitchen hygiene and safety protocols, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and training of junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of necessary materials.
  • Assume leadership of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, making informed decisions to maintain kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of kitchen management and leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on menu development and innovation.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.
