Estate Management Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Surveyor to join our team at City Property Glasgow, specializing in Estates Management.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surveyor to support our Markets Manager in the management and enhancement of our Blochairn Market portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Markets Manager in the management and enhancement of the Blochairn Market portfolio.
- Review expenditure, recharges, and maximize income across wholesale and retail operations.
- Provide expert professional advice on landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals, and new lettings.
- Lead general estates management initiatives and participate in asset management tasks and general queries.
- Prepare budgets for key estates and ensure accurate information reflects expected costs.
- Monitor and control income and expenditure associated with assigned property portfolios.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, Glasgow City Council, and partners to share knowledge and experience.
- Create and monitor service charge budgets, including adjustments and journals as required.
- Prepare and deliver accurate management and Committee reports, providing specialist professional advice and recommendations.
- Monitor budget performance and provide reports for senior management.
- Develop an excellent working knowledge of the portfolio.
- Manage a demanding workload and ensure key tasks are carried out in a professional and effective manner.
- Deputize for the Markets Manager.
- Ensure Health and Safety and risk management procedures are understood and adhered to.
- Provide standby cover to meet operational requirements for incidents occurring out with normal working hours.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Surveyor who can provide expert professional advice and support to our Markets Manager.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of estates management, landlord and tenant matters, and property law.
They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners.
