Job Title: Youth Support Specialist

As a Youth Support Specialist at Peabody, you will play a vital role in supporting young residents aged 18-25 in achieving their goals and securing a place on the housing register or finding suitable rental properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support to residents, including regular welfare checks and safety assessments.
  • Collaborate with external services to ensure residents receive comprehensive support.
  • Manage a group of young residents with complex needs, offering practical and emotional support to regain independence.
  • Establish consistent, trusting relationships with residents to ensure they feel secure and supported.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with teenagers aged 18-25.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed principles.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior and work autonomously.
