Senior Social Worker/Direct Payment Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker/Direct Payment Lead to join our team at Hammersmith and Fulham Council. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Council's vision for independent living, focusing on Direct Payments as a facilitator for independent living.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS Adults) applicable to the role of an Advanced Social Worker. They will be committed to working collaboratively with residents, partner agencies, and stakeholders to develop and grow in the role, supporting residents to make informed decisions.
The post holder will deliver services that are co-produced with residents, actively encouraging involvement and ownership of support plans. They will demonstrate confident and effective judgement about risk and accountability in decision-making, working inclusively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
The role holder will promote and sustain a learning culture, providing professional reflective supervision and guidance to less experienced Social Workers. They will take a key role in influencing and upskilling other social care staff around the implementation of Direct Payments, providing training to colleagues and encouraging Direct Payment 'champions' across the service.
