Senior Social Worker/Direct Payment Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker/Direct Payment Lead to join our team at Hammersmith and Fulham Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of direct payment services, working closely with colleagues across social care to build capacity and confidence, and collaborating with the Direct Payments Steering Group and Direct Payments Support Service to increase uptake of direct payments and improve people's experience and outcomes of using them.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of direct payment services, working closely with colleagues across social care to build capacity and confidence.
- Collaborate with the Direct Payments Steering Group and Direct Payments Support Service to increase uptake of direct payments and improve people's experience and outcomes of using them.
- Work with colleagues across social care to build capacity and confidence in direct payments, including providing training and support to colleagues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including service users, carers, and partner agencies.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to direct payments, ensuring they are effective and meet the needs of service users.
- Significant experience of working in social care, with a focus on direct payments.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a focus on building capacity and confidence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
