About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team as a Direct Payment Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Council's vision for independent living and to contribute to the development of Direct Payments as a key facilitator for residents.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS Adults) applicable to the role of an Advanced Social Worker. They will be committed to working collaboratively with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies to deliver services that are co-produced and inclusive.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Direct Payments, working closely with the Direct Payments Steering Group and Direct Payments Support Service to increase uptake and improve outcomes for residents. They will also be responsible for promoting and sustaining a learning culture and personal professional development through professional reflective supervision and guidance to less experienced Social Workers.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Direct Payments and has a strong commitment to co-production and inclusive practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Direct Payments
  • Work closely with the Direct Payments Steering Group and Direct Payments Support Service to increase uptake and improve outcomes for residents
