Clinical Cancer Pathways Manager

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oncology Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and developing pathways of care for patients living with cancer in emergency, acute assessment, elective day care, and clinic settings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the transfer of care from the Emergency Department to inpatient and outpatient settings, facilitating timely transitions into the day care environment within the UCH Macmillan Cancer Centre. You will also contribute to audits, service reviews, and potential research projects related to the Cancer Assessment Unit and overall cancer pathways.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior trainee (ST3+ level) who intends to pursue an academic or NHS oncology career. The post holder will be responsible to the Lead Clinician for Acute Oncology at UCH and will have access to the same education and training opportunities provided to trainees, with the same study leave benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of clinical care pathways for patients with complex cancers
- Contribute to the creation of a Cancer Assessment Unit and corresponding care pathways
- Participate in audits, service reviews, and research projects related to cancer care
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care
We offer a competitive salary of £61,825 per annum, plus London weighting, and a range of benefits including excellent education and training opportunities, study leave benefits, and a supportive work environment.
