Job Description

Vox Network Consultants seeks an exceptional Area Housing Manager to lead our housing management team in delivering a high-quality service. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in managing complex initiatives, and a deep understanding of housing management issues.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a motivated professional to drive continuous improvement and value for money within our housing operations. As Area Housing Manager, you will be responsible for managing resources, developing and leading a team, and ensuring compliance with tenancy and lease conditions.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful project management in a political environment, experience working in a council or housing association, and a commitment to promoting resident involvement in all levels of the housing service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide overall leadership for the delivery of an excellent multi-tenure housing management service, focusing on continuous improvement and value for money.
  2. To develop and lead a professional team to achieve performance targets and improve the area's services.
  3. To ensure that the team is focused, motivated, and inspired to achieve objectives and creates a positive team culture.
  4. To develop and achieve performance targets and improvement plans for the area, ensuring a performance culture is developed and sustained within the team.
  5. To ensure the Council's responsibilities as a landlord are met by ensuring compliance with current tenancy and lease conditions through effective decision making and the use of a range of tenancy and lease management procedures.
Requirements
  1. A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven experience working in a council or housing association, with a focus on housing management.
  3. Experience of successful project management of complex initiatives in a political environment.
  4. A deep understanding of housing management issues and practice.
  5. A commitment to promoting resident involvement in all levels of the housing service.
Contract Details

This is an initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract, paid via Umbrella, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
