Overview:
Our client, a leading Public Sector Body, is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join their team in the Newtownards area. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, documenting procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Payroll Officer will perform a range of tasks including processing monthly payroll, documenting procedures, reviewing processes for efficiency and control compliance, preparing and reconciling payroll returns, and providing information to HMRC. They will also assist with internal and external audits and ensure accurate and timely payment of staff salaries.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will possess a CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or equivalent qualification and have at least three years' experience working in a payroll environment. You should also have knowledge of legislative requirements relating to Payroll and Pensions regulatory issues. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in integrated payroll software are essential.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time, temporary position offering a salary of £13.16 per hour. You will have the opportunity to work on a reputable Public Sector Body project, develop your skills, and gain valuable experience in payroll operations.
