The REED Specialist Recruitment client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to manage daily banking, online banking, checking, posting and reconciling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication skills, and experience with Sage 200 or similar software.
Key Tasks:
- Manage daily banking transactions and reconcile accounts
- Process online banking, checking, posting and reconciling
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with making tax digital
- Conduct month-end reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Update pricing lists and maintain accurate records
- Administer general office tasks as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sage 200 or similar software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
