Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diabetic Eye Screener/Grader to join our team at the Transformation Unit in Nottingham. As a screener, you will be responsible for conducting eye exams and grading images to detect diabetic eye disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct eye exams and grade images to detect diabetic eye disease
  • Work independently and as part of a team to develop and deliver the programme
  • Analyze data and make informed decisions to ensure high-quality care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external contacts

Requirements

  • 3 years working in a diabetic eye screening programme as a screener/grader
  • Possession of a Diploma for Health Screeners (or C&G) – Diabetic Eye Screening qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working Environment

You will be working from Ropewalk House and will travel to and from healthcare settings within Nottinghamshire undertaking screening clinics.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £30,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
