Clinical Nurse Specialist in Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and Diabetes

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in Ambulatory Care. The successful candidate will have a strong background in rheumatology, endocrinology, and diabetes and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in these areas.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work closely with the Nurse Specialists in rheumatology, endocrinology, and diabetes to provide comprehensive care to patients. This will include responding to helpline calls, undertaking telephone clinics, preparing infusions, supporting with investigations, and giving treatments as prescribed.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with a small team of band 2 and 3 Healthcare Assistants and another Band 5 Nurse Specialist. The team works closely together to provide excellent patient care and support each other in their roles.
We are committed to providing our staff with the training and education they need to succeed in their roles. Our training team provides mandatory training and equipment, and we also have a wellbeing team to support our staff's mental health and wellbeing.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for supervising the band 2 and 3 Healthcare Assistants, allocating workload, and supporting with problems. They will also undertake telephone clinics with hyperthyroid patients, review results on the ghost clinic, and respond to helpline calls.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the band 2 and 3 Healthcare Assistants, allocating workload and supporting with problems.
- Undertake telephone clinics with hyperthyroid patients, under the supervision of the Advanced Nurse Specialist, reviewing the bloods and advising on dose changes.
- Review results on the ghost clinic and ask for support as needed.
- Respond to helpline calls.
- Undertake injection clinics.
- Work with Nurse Specialists in rheumatology, endocrinology, and diabetes.
