About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our expanding perioperative care team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and patient support with My Medical Record (MyMR), a digital screening tool used within perioperative care. This dynamic role will involve supporting patients in signing up to MyMR face-to-face or over the telephone, coordinating training for clinical teams, and working with clinical teams to identify patients for digital screening.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. They will also have experience in training and supporting customers or service users on new systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and patient support with MyMR
  • Coordinate training for clinical teams
  • Work with clinical teams to identify patients for digital screening
  • Support processes in clinic
  • Supervise, support, and train band 2 staff working within the clinical service
Person Specification
  • GCSE Level or equivalent qualifications to include English Language
  • Evidence of recent further professional development
  • Educated to NVQ3 standard in a relevant subject or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skills
Working Arrangements

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) will be required to check for any previous criminal convictions.

The successful candidate will be required to work full-time, part-time, or remotely, with occasional travel to our Lymington site.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £24,071 to £25,674 per annum (pro rata), with a range of benefits including access to training and development opportunities.
