Are you a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Clinical Lead in Oncology and Palliative Care Occupational Therapy to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in paediatrics and teenagers and young adults with cancer, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading areas of advanced clinical practice in oncology and palliative care, developing and implementing individualised therapeutic rehabilitation programmes, and assessing and prescribing complex wheelchair and specialist seating needs. They will also supervise and oversee the professional development of Band 6 Occupational Therapists.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading areas of advanced Occupational Therapy clinical practice in oncology and palliative care.
  • Developing and implementing individualised therapeutic rehabilitation programmes based on activity analysis using a client-centred approach.
  • Assessing and prescribing complex wheelchair and specialist seating needs.
  • Supervising and overseeing the professional development of Band 6 Occupational Therapists.

This role requires a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the UK College of Occupational Therapists, State Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council for Occupational Therapy, and significant post-graduate clinical experience in oncology. The ideal candidate will also have experience in clinical supervision and appraisal, leadership, project management, audit, outcomes measurement, and clinical governance.

Salary and Benefits:
