Support Worker Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker Team Leader to join our team in the Burwell-Cambridge area. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our client, a charming gentleman in his 70s who requires assistance with daily living tasks and community activities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong command of English, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be required to drive our client's adapted motability vehicle and have access to a vehicle due to the client's village location.
Responsibilities- Conduct quality checks of support worker tasks and notes
- Organize and chair team meetings
- Check and authorize monthly timesheets
- Approve annual leave and arrange cover as needed
- Serve as the point of contact for staff regarding sick leave
- Complete monthly wellbeing audits
- Participate in the recruitment and induction of new staff
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- An enhanced DBS disclosure
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Good use of and understanding of English and communication skills
- Preparedness to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centered way
- Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
- Respect for company policies and procedures
- Reliability, non-judgmental attitude, caring nature, responsibility, and compassion
- Commitment to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect
