Job Title: Support Team Leader

Join The Baca Charity as a Support Team Leader and play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to young refugees aged 16-18. As a leader in our Support Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and empowerment of our young people, providing guidance and motivation to support workers, and developing effective relationships with local authorities and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Support Team service, ensuring it meets the highest standards and aligns with Baca's Theory of Change.
  • Partner with social workers and representatives from other agencies to benefit young people.
  • Provide support, guidance, and motivation to support workers, inspiring them to be fully invested in young people's lives.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external stakeholders, reflecting Baca's values and promoting holistic support for each young person.
  • Regularly review and manage risks associated with young people, working closely with the Management and Leadership teams to respond and mitigate against key risks.
  • Lead, organize, and coordinate meetings and events for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all relevant actions are followed through and promoting the best interests of young people.
Requirements:
  • Ability to ensure the support provided to young people is of the highest quality and strives for excellence.
  • Passion for Baca's work and ability to lead by example in building an empowering environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across the UK when required, including overnight stays.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
