Job Summary:

Green Folk LTD is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support the finance team in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance team, contributing to the smooth operation of the company's financial processes, and assisting in the production of monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transaction Management: Accurately manage financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, credit card entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Support the production of monthly management accounts and prepare detailed cash flow reports.
  • Compliance and Governance: Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Credit Management: Review and manage credit terms, open new accounts, and approve financial entries.
  • Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping: Maintain and update bookkeeping records, including fixed asset registers, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in supporting the production of management accounts and handling VAT returns is advantageous.
  • Travel Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and ability for ad hoc travel to other sites (daytrips, up to 2 days a month).
