**Join our Neurosurgery Team as a Team Assistant**

**Job Summary:**

This role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. The Team Assistant will interact directly with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, while collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

**Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough interviews with patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
  2. Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
  3. Accurately record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or test results in medical records.
  4. Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
  5. Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log them, and prepare them for testing.
  6. Maintain treatment rooms in a clean and organized state, ensuring supplies are stocked.
  7. Comply with all policies, standards, local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations.
  8. Demonstrate ability to take manual blood pressures, collect blood samples, and other specimens.
  9. Possess comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
  10. Show proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT [BLS] Certificate Preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant Preferred.
  • EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - BASIC CERTIFICATION [MASSACHUSETTS] Preferred.
**Compensation:** $43,851 - $54,143 per year, based on location and experience.
