Job Title: Employability Coach

St Basils is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employability Coach to join our team. As an Employability Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting young people to develop the skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals and move into positive destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver accredited group activities focused on employability skills and support young people to attain accreditation.
  • Build positive relationships with young people and utilise coaching and mentoring skills to constructively challenge attitudes and behaviors.
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans and learning schedules to achieve skills delivery outcomes.
  • Use creative ways to engage learners and inspire them to identify learning and job goals relevant to the local labour market.
  • Assess learners' work in compliance with accreditor's standards and provide post-programme reports on young people's progress and achievements.
  • Conduct 1-1 and group inductions to support young people identified by project staff to access the programme.
  • Work within specified KPIs to ensure learners can access employment, education, and training opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or Above.
  • The Level 3 Award in Education and Training or other relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Experience of working with young people in employability, education, and training settings.
  • Ability to deliver a range of different activities and utilise ICT packages.
Desirable:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance, Careers Advice, or other relevant/equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience of delivering basic skills assessments and knowledge of welfare system.
