Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager - Registered Mental Health Nurse

Job Summary:
Willings Care is seeking a skilled Deputy Ward Manager to join our team. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering specialized care to adults with complex mental health conditions. This role involves overseeing a team, promoting equality and diversity, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance
  • Assess and manage risks across the working environment
  • Promote equality and diversity within the team
  • Identify deficits in skill mix and address staffing levels
  • Supervise a defined group of team members and contribute to their overall professional development
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic interventions within the care programme
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving and support patients to develop coping strategies
  • Collaboratively assess and act on risks of harm, danger, and abuse
  • Act as a named nurse for a small group of patients and a shift leader
