Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager / Charge Nurse (RMN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager / Charge Nurse (RMN) to join our team at a leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities.

About the Role:

As a Deputy Ward Manager / Charge Nurse (RMN), you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to males (18 years and above) in our rehabilitation and low secure hospital. You will work closely with the ward team to promote positive teamwork, support patients with severe and enduring mental health needs, and provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the ward team to deliver high-quality care and services
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements:
  • A relevant nursing qualification (RMN)
  • A valid NMC registration with no restrictions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • A minimum of 2 years of mental health / low-high secure, acute, forensic, PICU / private or NHS experience
  • Strong team-working skills
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
