Deputy Ward Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital North London. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in the management of our NHS Acute Adult Ward, working closely with the Ward Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical leadership strategies to improve patient outcomes and staff engagement
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ward policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
  • Experience in inpatient mental health settings
  • Leadership experience and ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
