Deputy Ward Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital North London. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in the management of our NHS Acute Adult Ward, working closely with the Ward Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, with experience in leadership and management. You will be responsible for supervising other staff, upholding the core values of the organization, and promoting openness, transparency, and learning on the ward.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting other staff members
  • Upholding the core values of the organization
  • Promoting openness, transparency, and learning on the ward
  • Overseeing certain areas of clinical expertise, such as medication management and physical health promotion

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and leadership experience. You will be able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines, and have a genuine interest in quality service delivery and development.

Requirements:

  • RMN qualification
  • Mentorship qualification (desirable)
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
