Deputy Ward Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at a leading mental health hospital in South West London. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the ward and providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage risk across the ward and wider working environment, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
  • Supervise a defined group of team members, contributing to their CPD, mandatory training, and appraisal process.
  • Act as a role model, promoting a culture of learning, development, and inquiry.
  • Contribute to the assessment and action on risks of harm, danger, and abuse.
  • Deputise for the ward manager in their absence.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic interventions within the care programme.
Requirements:
  • RMN Nurse qualification with a current active NMC Pin.
  • Eating Disorders experience.
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder & Learning Disorder experience.
  • Relevant post-registration experience.
