Deputy Ward Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital North London. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in the management of our NHS Acute Adult Ward, working closely with the Ward Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, with experience in leading and motivating others. They will be responsible for supervising staff, upholding the core values of the organisation, and promoting openness, transparency, and learning on the ward.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in quality service delivery and development, with the ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. They will also have experience working in inpatient mental health settings and completing audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ward policies and procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement
  • Work collaboratively with the Ward Manager to ensure the smooth running of the ward

Requirements:

  • RMN qualification
  • Experience in leading and motivating others
  • Strong clinical background in mental health care
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Experience working in inpatient mental health settings
