An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Ward Manager to work in a leading mental health hospital in South West London. You will be part of a renowned healthcare provider, delivering high-quality treatment for various conditions, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress, and eating disorders.

This hospital is one of the country's leading mental health treatment centres, providing fast access to treatment for a range of conditions. As a Deputy Ward Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment, meeting statutory requirements.
  • Supervising a defined group of team members, contributing to their CPD, mandatory training, and appraisal process, addressing performance issues below the expected standard.
  • Acting as a role model to promote a culture of learning, development, inquiry, and team vision.
  • Contributing to the process of collaboratively assessing and acting on risks of harm, danger, and abuse.
  • Deputising for the ward manager in their absence.
  • Implementing, monitoring, and evaluating therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme, enabling individuals with mental health and learning disability needs to develop coping strategies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in eating disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and Learning Disorder, as well as relevant post-registration experience.
