Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager

Willing Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized care to adults with complex mental health conditions.

About the Role

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the ward and hospital comply with all relevant policies and statutory regulations. You will also promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance
  • Assess and manage risks across the working environment
  • Promote equality and diversity within the team
  • Identify deficits in skill mix and address staffing levels
  • Supervise a defined group of team members and contribute to their overall professional development
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic interventions within the care program
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving and support patients to develop coping strategies
  • Collaboratively assess and act on risks of harm, danger, and abuse
  • Act as a named nurse for a small group of patients and a shift leader
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and statutory requirements
  • Ability to promote equality and diversity
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
