Job Title: Specialist Assistant for SEND School

About the School

Our SEND school in Harrow or Hillingdon, North West London, provides a specialist education and care for students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and other additional needs. We are seeking an experienced Specialist Assistant to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and care for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement strategies for supporting students with complex needs.
  • Provide individualised support to students with physical disabilities, including moving and handling, and use of specialist equipment.
  • Assist students with all aspects of daily living, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children, adults, and/or the elderly with additional needs, and a strong understanding of PMLD. They must be able to commit to a full-time role working 5 days per week, 8:30am to 4:00PM, and possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits
