Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEND school in Wallington. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

The Role:

You will be working with a small class of pupils, providing all-round care and learning support on a 1 to 1 basis. You should have an understanding of working with children with special needs from previous roles and be directed by the class teacher.

You will be involved in supporting some children during additional intervention sessions from internal therapists. This role is initially offered on a contract basis until the end of the academic year and could become permanent in the future.

This Specialist SEND school provides a specialist learning environment for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Our curriculum focuses on developing the whole child/young person to be as independent as possible, gain skills and knowledge that prepare them for adulthood and an enriching life.

All children attending the school have an Education Health and Care Plan and dedicated professionals work with them to reach their potential. We use a trans-disciplinary approach and place emphasis on supporting pupils to feel safe, well, and emotionally regulated.

Requirements:

We offer a competitive salary range £28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
