Job Overview: SEND Support Specialist
Location: Telford
Salary: £84,000 - £94,999 per annum
We are looking for a skilled SEND Support Specialist to join our team at a leading SEND school in Shrewsbury. As a specialist, you will work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
About the RoleIn this role, you will assist in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO, offering support to students with SEND. Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one or small group support, assisting with lesson planning, and helping to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted support to students with SEND to help them achieve their academic potential.
- Assist with planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills.
- Help implement and monitor IEPs or personal care plans.
- Assist with classroom management and provide general support to the teacher.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable.
