About the Role:

  • Support service users from point of entry into the service on their dependency and recovery journey, via our comprehensive directory of services.
  • Provide screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning, and onward referral to ensure seamless support.
  • Reduce dependency and recovery-related harm to service users and the wider community within the parameters of the National Probation Service referral.
  • Promote carer, service user, and community involvement to foster a supportive environment.
  • Onward referral for ongoing support from partnership services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Work with service users to support social reintegration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
  • Support the recruitment and development of Dependency and Recovery Motivators to enhance service delivery.

About You:

  • 2 years of relevant experience working within criminal justice, substance misuse (including alcohol), or social care services, with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
  • A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of the issues facing offenders, including substance misuse, health, and personal wellbeing.
  • Extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the contributing factors to success and making long-term sustained offending behavior and social functioning.
  • Experience of delivering groups or pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behavior.
  • Experience of working in an outcome-focused environment.
  • Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency.
  • The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information.
  • Ability to travel as required, including where public transport is not available.
  • Provide leadership in your area of responsibility.
  • Manage change successfully in a way that prioritizes the needs of service users.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage successfully with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others (internally and externally).
