About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children and Families Support Worker to join our team in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with families and children to provide intensive, tailored support to prevent homelessness and promote family stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key worker for a caseload of families, providing one-to-one support and group work to address their specific needs.
  • Visit clients' homes and schools across the city to provide a coordinated service and build relationships with other agencies.
  • Network and gather information to advocate for families and negotiate with other agencies to secure support.
  • Manage a caseload and prioritize tasks to ensure effective support is provided to families.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of housing, homelessness, and ASB legislation, as well as welfare benefits that affect families.
  • Experience of working within a safeguarding framework and managing a caseload.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
