Role Overview:

As a Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of our web-based eCommerce application using SAP Commerce, a platform based on Java and Spring. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in backend development, a strong understanding of software architecture, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and oversee the development of our eCommerce platform, ensuring the use of best practices and high standards of code quality.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, software developers, and architects to design, plan, develop, refactor, test, and deliver new features.
  3. Develop and maintain unit tests as an integral part of the software development process.
  4. Shape the technical direction of the project, making critical architectural decisions.
  5. Guide the team towards successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in an IT-related field.
  2. Significant experience in software development with backend development programming languages, particularly Java; experience with Python and Golang is also highly valued.
  3. Experience in a leadership role, such as Tech Lead or Architect, while demonstrating the ability to make sound architectural decisions, balancing technical and business requirements.
  4. Extensive knowledge of best practice software development design patterns in addition to a deep understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
  5. Proven track record in web-based application development using the Spring framework, Java, and JSP.
  6. Experience working with SAP Commerce (nice to have) or any other eCommerce platform based on Spring and Java.
