Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to provide person-centred support to individuals with high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours in a school setting.

This role offers the opportunity to enrich and develop vulnerable young people's lives by working closely with an excellent team and joining a fantastic school community.

About the Role:

  • You will work in a 1:1 capacity, providing vital support to children and young people who require additional help due to various reasons.
  • The ideal candidate should have some experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour, possess de-escalation training skills, and be able to build positive relationships with ease.
  • You will also need confidence in making decisions, excellent communication skills, empathy, and a willingness to enhance your skills through professional training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver person-centred support, ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals at all times.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues, teachers, and other professionals to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • To maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Holding a valid Right to Work in the UK document is essential.
  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate is a mandatory requirement.
  • The successful candidate will need to provide two professional child-related references.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
