Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Academic Support Specialist to join their team in Wilmslow. This full-time role begins in December and runs through the end of the academic year, with potential for permanency based on performance.

About the Role:
  • Support Students: Work closely with students on a one-to-one or small-group basis to enhance learning strategies and build confidence.
  • Behavioral Assistance: Utilize psychological principles to assist in behavior management and reinforce positive interactions.
  • Academic Guidance: Help students understand and apply classroom content, offering practical study strategies and breaking down complex material to foster learning independence.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor individual student progress, documenting achievements and areas for development, to support tailored interventions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Psychology Graduate: Holds a degree in psychology or a related field, with a keen interest in applying psychological insights in educational settings.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with students and communicate effectively.
  • Adaptable and Patient: Flexible in approach, ready to adjust methods to meet the individual needs of each student and create an inclusive environment.
  • Team Player: Collaborative, willing to work closely with teachers and support staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
Position Details:
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Pay: £27,000 - £32,500 per annum (approximately £419.25 - £500 per week)
