Medical Oncologist Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Oncologist Consultant to join our team at the Sussex Cancer Centre at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and support staff to provide high-quality cancer care to patients across Sussex.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment options.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cancer services and policies.
- Provide education and training to junior staff and students.
- Participate in research and audit activities to improve cancer care.
- Basic medical degree (MB BS, FRCR or equivalent).
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
- CCT in clinical oncology or equivalent.
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 12 months of the date of starting Fixed Term post.
- Higher degree (e.g. MD, PhD).
- Experience in teaching and education.
- Research experience and publications.
