We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Lung Cancer and Skin Cancers, as well as expertise in Oncotoxicity (including immunotherapy toxicity).
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients with Lung Cancer and Skin Cancers
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans
- Provide education and training to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to research and audit activities within the department
- Basic medical degree
- MB BS, FRCR or appropriate specialist qualification
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- CCT in clinical oncology or equivalent
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
- Higher degree
- Breadth of experience in and outside specialty
- Experience and ability to work in multi-professional teams
- Understanding of NHS / Clinical governance / Resource constraints
