About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team at the Sussex Cancer Centre at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Lung Cancer, Skin Cancers, and Oncotoxicology (including immunotherapy toxicity).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients with Lung Cancer, Skin Cancers, and Oncotoxicology (including immunotherapy toxicity)
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive cancer care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Participate in teaching and education of medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals
  • Engage in clinical research and audit to improve patient outcomes

Requirements
  • Basic medical degree
  • MB BS, FRCR or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT in clinical oncology or equivalent
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the appointment
