Medical Oncologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team at the Sussex Cancer Centre at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Lung Cancer, Skin Cancers, and Oncotoxicology (including immunotherapy toxicity).
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a comprehensive oncology service for patients from across the Trust, working alongside a team of 30 Clinical/Medical Consultant Oncologists.
- Conduct regular outpatient clinics, MDM attendance, SACT prescribing and oversight, clinical supervision of non-medical staff, clinical governance, service developments, ward reviews, and on-call duties.
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of medical students, junior medical staff, and AHP/nurses.
- Participate in audit and support junior team members in their audit projects.
- Take an active role in education for trainees at all grades and contribute to the development of the post.

Requirements- Basic medical degree
- MB BS, FRCR or appropriate specialist qualification
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- CCT in clinical oncology or equivalent
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
- Higher degree
- Breadth of experience in and outside specialty
- Experience and ability to work in multi-professional teams
- Understanding of NHS/Clinical governance/Resource constraints
