About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical oncology team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical oncology care to patients with breast and colorectal cancers
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
  • Develop and implement clinical trials and research studies to improve patient outcomes
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Requirements
  • Basic medical degree and specialist qualification in clinical oncology
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Experience in a broad spectrum of clinical oncology tumour sites
  • Interest and training suitable for a CNS cancer clinical oncology post
  • Ability to work in multi-professional teams and understand NHS and clinical governance principles
