Assistant Safeguarding Manager

About the Position:

  • We seek a diligent and knowledgeable Assistant Safeguarding Manager who will collaborate closely with our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to oversee safeguarding initiatives and address emerging concerns.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in safeguarding roles within educational settings, along with strong communication skills to foster cooperation among colleagues, external partners, and parents/guardians.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the DSL to handle safeguarding matters according to policy guidelines and relevant laws.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into potential safeguarding incidents, ensuring accurate records are maintained and necessary actions are taken.
  • Cultivate productive partnerships with nearby schools, social services, and local authorities to advance safeguarding objectives.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions for teachers and staff members to enhance their ability to recognize and address safeguarding issues effectively.
  • Coordinate close collaboration between various teams, like pastoral care staff and social workers, to guarantee that all students receive the care and protection they need.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience working in safeguarding functions, preferably in educational contexts.
  • Sound understanding of current safeguarding laws and associated requirements.
  • Demonstrated capability to engage constructively with multiple stakeholders to establish trust and encourage participation in shared objectives.
  • Adherence to the organization's values and principles.
