**Job Summary**

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled teaching assistant to provide one-to-one support to a child with trauma-related needs in a supportive primary school in Westminster.

About the Role:

As a dedicated teaching assistant, you will work closely with a child, providing consistent support to address both academic and emotional needs. You will collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored learning and behavior strategies, fostering a safe and trusting relationship with the child.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting children with trauma, emotional, or social difficulties and is empathetic, patient, and passionate about helping children overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the child, addressing academic and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored learning and behavior strategies
  • Foster a safe, trusting relationship with the child
  • Help the child engage with classroom activities and manage their emotions effectively

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with trauma, emotional, or social difficulties
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust and rapport
  • Possesses empathy, patience, and passion for helping children overcome challenges

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
