Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to fill the role of Child Development Facilitator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting disabled children and their families in achieving a better quality of life. The successful candidate will work in either one of our Bi-Borough Short Breaks Provisions in Westminster or a community setting, providing care and recreation through play.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or complex health needs. A good understanding of related issues is essential, along with flexibility to work early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend sessions. Previous moving and handling training or a paediatric first aid certificate is beneficial, but we can provide training for these skills.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver activities including sports, games, and arts and crafts
  • Provide support and care to disabled children throughout every aspect of their time with you
  • Nurture independence by listening to children's wishes
