About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Specialist to support disabled children and their families in achieving a better quality of life.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and recreation to children with disabilities, helping them develop social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional skills through play.

You will work closely with professionals such as Physiotherapists and Social Workers, offering a high level of care and assistance throughout the child's time with you. This may include transporting the child to activities and providing personal care as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing care and recreation to children with disabilities
  • Assisting in planning and delivering activities, including sports, games, and arts and crafts
  • Liaising with parents and carers to understand the child's needs and wishes
  • Transporting children to activities and providing personal care as needed

To succeed in this role, you should have experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or complex health needs. A good understanding of related issues is essential, as well as flexibility to work early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend sessions.
