Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Coordinator to join our team in the South East of England. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Social Worker to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, conducting assessments and reviews, preparing welfare reports, and advocating for the best interests of children in court hearings. They will also develop and review action plans and care plans to safeguard and promote children's welfare.

This role requires strong skills in assessing, reviewing, and planning actions to promote children's welfare, as well as exceptional teamworking and partnership skills. The ideal candidate will have post-qualification experience managing complex children and family caseloads and be flexible and mobile, with the ability to travel across the county.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of children and families;
  • Conduct assessments, reviews, and prepare welfare reports;
  • Attend court hearings and advocate for the best interests of children;
  • Develop and review action plans and care plans to safeguard and promote children's welfare;
  • Collaborate with colleagues in early help, prevention, and wider partnership teams.

Requirements

  • A degree in Social Work or equivalent;
  • Completed Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE);
  • Post-qualification experience managing complex children and family caseloads;
  • Strong skills in assessing, reviewing, and planning actions to promote children's welfare;
  • Exceptional teamworking and partnership skills.
